Vermont Doll Lovers

Total attendees = 5. For the first meetup of 2019, VTDL members gathered with Valentine's props, accessories, and outfits for our dolls. Well, some of us did. Others of us [me] mostly brought sci-fi stuff. Click photos to enlarge.

Total attendees = 8! I apologize for the poor quality of the photos. I took some with my tablet, which doesn't have a very good camera. Then a lot of those that I took with my decent camera ended up blurry for unknown reasons. Dammit. Two newcomers came, Mary and Kathy, the latter of which traveled up from western Massachusetts. I notice that attendees increase during the summer, probably because the weather is good for traveling. Urban Hermit, who first attended last July, swung down from Montreal, making this meet an international one. I think I'll invite the Montreal folks to next month's meetup... Total attendees = 8. With Urban Hermit from Montreal, Dancing Hare from Albany, and Amy from New Hampshire, we had an international/regional meetup on Saturday. Lyrajean, vermont chick, Bittersweet Blue, and Melface, all locals, showed up too!

Total attendees = 6. Lyrajean, vermont chick, Bittersweet Blue, Melface, and Shannon showed up today for our meet. The steampunk theme was mostly my ploy to get Bittersweet Blue to bring back her 1:4 scale telescope. Top hats, brass, ruffles, and other vaguely steampunky accoutrements also appeared on others' dolls. I have realized that we always have much more fun with a variety of props. Total attendees = 6. Regulars Lyrajean, Melface, and Nerdy Victorian came to this Saturday's meetup, along with two newcomers, astraldoll7 [all the way from New York!] and Bittersweet Blue [all the way from southern Vermont!], each of whom had trekked over 2 hours to meet fellow doll lovers. Of course I was there too, with my usual complement of Valentine's props. Though I billed the meet as one with a Valentine's theme, we all paid much more attention to the swap/sale/get rid of it event going on concurrently. We spread wares across two tables: clothing and wigs that Lyrajean and I wanted to offload, furniture from Nerdy Victorian, and dolls and doll parts from Melface, astraldoll7, and Bittersweet Blue. While no large ticket items [i.e., dolls] exchanged hands, attendees did trade, sell, and/or give away smaller items. I -- and everyone else -- seemed to really enjoy seeing what others had to get rid of, especially as some items had never shown up at meets before. Thus ...

Total attendees = 5. vermont chick, Lyrajean, NerdyVictorian, Melface, and a potential member showed up for last Saturday's meetup. Bicycles and tricycles made a big showing, tested by almost all, but the real star was undisputedly vermont chick's Aileen Doll Lapis dragon, who, much like her Fairyland Pukipukis, got into everything. vermont chick has two photo posts on her blog: part 1 and part 2.

Total attendees = 12. Yesterday CCDC welcomed its largest complement of attendees ever! A whole dozen of us attended, including newcomers Pink and their husband [from Maine] and Pink's friend from Quebec [who doesn't have any dolls...yet]. We spent the entire extended duration [noon to 4:00 PM] talking dolls, posing and photoing them, in between side conversations about mutual interests such as Monster High, Internet-based cartoons and fursuits. Total attendees = 10. Saturday's Valentine's meetup of Chittenden County Doll Club attracted a total of eight doll enthusiasts, as well as at least two hangers-on who did not come with dolls. In any event, the turnout represents the most populous meetup of CCDC ever, not only in terms of people, but in terms of dolls [somewhere north of 25]. The first meetup of 2014 saw me, Lyrajean, goldi and vermont chick braving the torrential downpours to converge upon the Koolvord Room in Brownell Library, Essex Junction, VT because we are hardcore devotees who must have our regular dolly fix. :D vermont chick's photos appear on her blog.

Total attendees = 6. Six people attended the first CCDC Halloween meetup yesterday: me, Lyrajean, vermont chick, goldi, Megan and a newcomer, purplekiss101. [Megan did not bring any dolls, though.] I brought my graveyard set; purplekiss101 and Megan brought pumpkins; purplekiss101, vermont chick and Lyrajean brought dolls in costume, and Lyrajean brought some doll-scale Halloween treats. vermont chick has photos on her blog too.
