Vermont Doll Lovers meetup, 06/13/2015

Total attendees = 5. vermont chick, Lyrajean, NerdyVictorian, Melface, and a potential member showed up for last Saturday's meetup. Bicycles and tricycles made a big showing, tested by almost all, but the real star was undisputedly vermont chick's Aileen Doll Lapis dragon, who, much like her Fairyland Pukipukis, got into everything.

As a housekeeping note, I will say that most of us regulars bring the same dolls to several meetups. I have therefore absolved myself of the responsibility of photoing every doll at every single meetup, especially if the doll appears elsewhere in this blog. I will, however, list who came, but was not pictured.

I like the concept of a really big doll with classically round ball joints, which Spiritdoll Camelia has. Nice mature profile too.

Lyrajean recently acquired a 1:6 scale trike. Volks Yo-SD Kira tested it out, but her legs were too short.

Hujoo Freya pushed a very displeased Spiritdoll Bastet in another of Lyrajean's finds, a baby carriage. Lyrajean insists that Bastet looks cute in official photos of her with faceup. Right now she just looks pissed!

My dolls:

Submit, an Elfdoll Doona Kathlen awake, took the trike for a spin...or at least tried, but her legs were too short too.

We all decided that Jun, a Takara Cy Girl Jun with custom reroot and faceup, fit the trike best.

The art in the Koolvord Room was actually okay this time, so I held up Jun for some forced perspective shots.

Now Dollzone Carter has a faceup, and, like most of Melface's dolls, he's fabulous!

At left, Spiritdoll Stayne modeled his default outfit, which took 45 minutes and many sound effects to put on. All and sundry were amused by the butt armor on his skirt. Maskcat Ronia pretended not to notice his big honkin' knife.

I brought my Mattel Coke soda fountain set, so Aileen Doll Lapis tried ordering some soda from Jun.

The bottle was difficult to open.

Then he was trapped in a hutch that I brought and cruelly separated from his Coke!

All distress was forgotten when cupcakes were spotted.

When finished with the sweets, he started chewing the silverware.

vermont chick's other dolls had a steampunk theme going on. Iplehouse BID Bono [right] asked her older brother, Iplehouse JID Daniel, if she could ride his bike.

Iplehouse KID Bono Bambi was continuing the brown palette.

Iplehouse JID Edwin looked ready to hit the trails with backpack and bedroll.
