Vermont Doll Lovers St. Patrick's/Easter meetup, 03/12/2016

Total attendees = 4. Bittersweet Blue, DragonGems, Lyrajean, and I goofed off this afternoon with lots of toy eggs, rabbits, chicks, and, of course, dolls.

Lyrajean has pictures on DOA.

I brought just one doll, Never the Less, who is a heavily modded Angelsdoll Ieseul Cat Avatar head with Souldoll Evelyn mask on an Angel of Dream body. We had way too much fun with the chicks, mostly at our dolls' expense...

DragonGems brought, from left, a Mattel Made to Move Barbie that she partially repainted, the Lumedoll Arine I gave her, and Russell, her scratch-built 1:6 scale BJD. Couch made by DragonGems out of -- and I quote -- "hot glue and lies."

"What can I say? Chicks dig me."

"I do not dig chicks."

I remarked that the Made to Move Barbie had an expression like her bullshit detector just went off. But I think it's her chick shit detector in this photo.

Bullshit Detector Barbie tried to escape, but she got stuck in the hutch.

Then the rabbit, needle felted by Bittersweet Blue, called some friends over...

...And they all marveled at the new addition to the human zoo!

The animals generally made pests of themselves. Bittersweet Blue's Dollzone Linlan was minding her own business, grimly using her hat as a modesty shield because her skirt was so short...

...And then a duck landed on her head. She wasn't too thrilled.

Bittersweet Blue's Obitsu Nano Haruka on an Azone Pure Neemo body said, "Please -- no more poultry!"

Faceup by Bittersweet Blue.

Detailed outlet, also by Azone, came with the doll.

One of the few dolls who seemed untouched by the silliness was Bittersweet Blue's 60cm Obitsu Haruka, obliviously enjoying her out-of-scale Easter egg. Faceup by Bittersweet Blue.

Bittersweet Blue's Fairyland Puki Puki Sugar [left] and 11cm Obitsu [right] used a decorative egg as a boat.

11cm Obitsu showed off her posing abilities -- very impressive, thanks to a high level of articulation, tight joints, and a magnetic plate to help her keep her balance.

The chicks got around. Lyrajean's Bimong Meronica didn't enjoy the appearance of a small bird on her head, but the rabbit was apparently just chillin'.

Lyrajean's Spiritdoll Camellia terrorized by Easter finery. "Choking...on...bow... Skull...imploding...from bonnet! Get...it...off!"

Lyrajean eventually took pity on her, so I had a chance to see the Spiritdoll Camellia in more detail.

Lyrajean also brought her Alchemic Lab Unoa Sist, Alchemic Lab Unoa Lusis, Customhouse Sariel, and Customhouse Uriel, but I did not photo them. Well, actually, you can see one of the Customhouses over in the far left of the photo just above, but I'm not sure which.

Future meetups: 4/9, 5/14.
