Vermont Doll Lovers Valentine's meetup, 02/09/2019

Total attendees = 5. For the first meetup of 2019, VTDL members gathered with Valentine's props, accessories, and outfits for our dolls. Well, some of us did. Others of us [me] mostly brought sci-fi stuff. Click photos to enlarge.

1992 special edition Kraft x Mattel Barbie collaboration from Lyrajean. Except for the hat and the Cheesasaurus graphic, this is a great example of late 1980s/early 1990s fashion. Will try to salvage outfit.

Thirteen apparently wants to get close to Missy. Missy appears uncertain.

Clara is 1:6 scale, but Thirteen and Missy are smaller. Thirteen wears their default outfit without trench coat and carries their sonic screwdriver. I touched up an eyebrow, but have otherwise not customized them.

As for Missy, I partly repainted her face, resculpted some of her hair, then added a fiber ponytail that I had boil permed. Her book, A History of the Time War, came with Clara.

Clara came with a supremely boring outfit, so I redressed her. Her black plastic left hand is a robotic replacement. I also removed her pinpoint pupils because they looked ugly and touched up her hairline. She's holding a variation on the Eleventh Doctor's sonic screwdriver and standing in front of a backdrop showing the interior of Eleven's TARDIS. Screwdriver and backdrop came with her.
