VTDL attendance, August 2011-August 2018
I've been recording attendance at VTDL meetups since the beginning [i.e., 7 years ago]. Here's the data on a graph. The trend is very slightly upward. We're consistently at 4 or more attendees now! More people attend during summers. Fascinating...
Well, we've had visitors from Montreal, QC [90 mi from Essex Jct], Hudson Falls, NY [100 mi], Bennington, VT [120 mi], Shelburne Falls, MA [190 mi], and Hampden, ME [300 mi]. Eseme and Kukolka, who came to the most recent meet from Maine and Connecticut respectively, may have journeyed just as far or farther. We draw people from all over the region!
1. Summer days are longer so people at a distance can make the trip and still get home before nightfall (unless they're planning to stay overnight).
ReplyDelete2. No one wants to drive far when the sun sets at 4:30 pm and there's a chance of snow. That means fewer guests in the winter months.
3. The upward trend is especially heartening considering a few members have dropped out over the years. Go us!
4. What's the farthest distance someone has travelled to attend a meeting? Do you know? (Just curious.)
